1. Information we use

When you use PostAnon, we create a random browser identity and an automatically generated username. This lets you post, reply, follow, save content, vote in polls, and view your own activity without creating a conventional account.

• Content you provide: confessions, replies, poll questions and options, reports, and other material you choose to submit. Posts and replies may be visible to other users.
• Anonymous service data: the random identity stored in your browser, generated username, and records of actions such as likes, follows, bookmarks, reports, poll votes, and notification status.
• Device and technical data: basic server logs such as IP address, browser or device information, pages requested, and timestamps. We use these to operate, secure, diagnose, and prevent misuse of the service.
• Push-notification data: if you allow notifications in the Android app, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging token and a device identifier linked to your anonymous identity so we can deliver activity notifications.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide the service, maintain your browser-based identity, show and manage your posts and interactions, deliver requested notifications, investigate reports, enforce our rules, protect users and systems, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information or use your content to make advertising profiles. We do not require a name, email address, or phone number to use PostAnon.

3. Public content, moderation and disclosures

PostAnon is anonymous, not private. Anything you publish may be read, copied, shared, reported, or retained by other users. Never post information that could identify you or someone else.

CodeReveal Pvt Ltd and authorised service providers may access information when needed to host, secure, maintain, moderate, or improve PostAnon. We may remove, restrict, preserve, or disclose information where reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or prevent fraud and abuse.

4. Retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including moderation, security, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Content you delete from your dashboard is removed from active service records where technically feasible; copies in backups may remain for a limited period.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please keep your device and browser secure.

5. Your choices

• You can delete confessions and replies that belong to your current browser identity from the You page.
• You can export your available activity data from the You page.
• You can reset your anonymous identity. This removes the browser link to your prior identity; it does not automatically erase public posts already made.
• You can control push notifications in your device settings.

Browser cookies and local storage are important for recognising your anonymous identity. Clearing browser data or changing devices can prevent you from accessing the identity and controls associated with earlier posts.

6. Children

PostAnon is not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country to use online services without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information through PostAnon, please contact us.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of PostAnon after an update means you accept the updated policy.
