Have you been with a family member? Whats your story

They thought I was okay because I smiled. I still remember those days when I would wake up, get ready, talk to people, laugh at jokes, and act like everything was normal. Nobody really knew what was happening inside my head. I would sit with my friends and laugh until my stomach hurt. Then I would come home, close my bedroom door, and suddenly feel completely empty. It was strange. How could someone laugh so much during the day and feel so lost at night? I never told anyone. Not because I didn't want help. I just didn't know how to explain what I was feeling. Whenever someone asked, “Are you okay?” I would automatically say, “Yeah, I'm fine.” Two simple words. “I’m fine.” Sometimes, those words were the biggest lie I had ever told. I started realizing that people don't always see the battles you're fighting. They see your photos. They see your smile. They see you going to work, going to school, meeting friends, posting stories, and living your life. But they don't see the nights when you can't sleep because your mind won't stop thinking. They don't see the messages you type but never send. They don't see how many times you tell yourself, “Tomorrow will be better.” And then tomorrow comes… And you still feel the same. For a long time, I thought being strong meant handling everything alone. So I stayed quiet. I convinced myself that my problems weren't important enough to talk about. I compared my life to everyone else's and wondered why everyone seemed to be moving forward while I felt stuck in the same place. Then one day, something changed. I realized I didn't have to pretend anymore. I didn't have to smile when I wanted to cry. I didn't have to say “I'm fine” when I wasn't. And I didn't have to have everything figured out. So I started taking things one day at a time. Some days were good. Some days weren't. But slowly, I started feeling like myself again. I learned that healing doesn't always look beautiful. Sometimes healing looks like getting out of bed when you don't want to. Sometimes it looks like walking away from people who hurt you. Sometimes it looks like saying no. Sometimes it looks like asking for help. And sometimes… It simply looks like surviving another difficult day. Today, I still have bad days. But I don't hate myself for having them anymore. I've learned that being human means falling apart sometimes. It means feeling lost. It means starting over. And it means understanding that your current chapter isn't your whole story. So if you're reading this and secretly struggling while telling everyone you're okay… Please remember this: You don't have to pretend to be strong every day. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to feel. You are allowed to start again. And most importantly… You are not behind. You're just becoming the person you're meant to be. One day at a time.
